Just now posting this...heavy workweek and no training :(
This year I ran the shortest leg, but the toughest. 5 long climbs followed by steep downhills. First 8km went OK, but then I hit the wall and slowed down to what felt like a crawl. Though it didn't feel hard, I went out too fast considering the climbs. My first year here, I ran the same portion of the course, when the 1/2 marathon covered that stretch. I was on pace for around 1h18 finish, but the last 4km got me there too and I ended up finishing 1h25 :( It's a tough course.
