Road Biking 47:32 intensity: (8:51 @1) + (35:11 @2) + (1:12 @3) + (2:18 @4) 16.01 km (20.2 kph) +183m

11:09 AM. Bike.

First real outing with my father-in-law's old road bike. I was a bit nervous-haven't ridden a road bike since 2001.
Bike seems to fit well. The first climb was a rude surprise-harder than I'd have thought.
Fun outing beautiful day for a ride- the stopwatch on my Garmin stopped @40', I started it back up a few minutes after, so not 100% accurate distance/speed-wise.

Running 30:00 intensity: (8:52 @1) + (21:08 @2) 5.53 km (5:25 / km) +124m 4:53 / km

8:48 AM.

Just a simple recovery run-felt pretty spry, but there is some residual tightness in my right upper hamstring/quadriceps and ankle from yesterday's speedwork.

Running intervals 41:51 intensity: (2:47 @1) + (28:28 @2) + (7:47 @3) + (2:49 @4) 8.01 km (5:13 / km) +236m 4:33 / km

10:03 AM. Running: Intervals 7x300m@Vo2x300i.

Good run, though not feeling as fresh as last time. However, checking the splits-The fast stuff was pretty much the same, but the rest intervals were about 30" faster overall. Signs of improvement.
I accidentally stopped early on the first one, thinking the vibration meant the bout was over, but it was apparently warning me to slow down. So the next bout I started 50m earlier and ran longer.

8:27 AM. Run.

Its' been a long time since it's rained and it felt good. It always reminds me that I'm a good animal. A little cold and slow at first but after I warmed up it felt like I was just cruising along easily with very little effort except on the last hill home. I was trying to make it under 2', but failed by 30"...but it was fun to try.

3:19 PM. Run.

Recovery run on the reoccurring recovery run route recovering the feeling of running recovery runs.
Really tired today. It could be because I haven't run the day after a long run in a long time, or it was an afternoon run with higher than typical running temperatures...maybe that's why I'm stiff and sore. Had some sort of problem with my right ankle/heel. It finally let up in the second half of the run. Not the best feeling run.

Trail Run 1:30:00 intensity: (3:29 @1) + (1:24:26 @2) + (2:05 @3) 15.18 km (5:56 / km) +399m 5:14 / km
ahr:134 max:167 shoes: Les Mustangs

8:52 AM. Run.

Good run on tired legs-Decided to run on the single track trails when possible-which accounted for maybe 10-20% of the time- the rest was on the regular bike trail flat and simple. Felt good to go off road again. Need to do this more often.

P.O.'d that Gamin dropped me down to 53 Vo2. It does that when the pace is slower and the HR higher- which happens on the Single Track trails...grrr.
