This had all the makings of a beautiful, post turkey day ride. Unfortunately my back had other plans. My back was tight yesterday and this morning, however, I made a small movement while standing on my shoes changing and my back shot up with pain. It hurt to move. I was finally able to get my leg over the top tube and one riding it loosened up, but it still hurt. I couldn't pull with my right leg and after 1:45 of riding it was time to get off the bike. Every movement off the bike hurts and it took me several minutes to just get into my car. Heading to my massage therapist now, but i think this is going to take more than a massage to diagnosis and solve. This flippin sucks...this is suppose to be my injury free winter. I'm not happy.

I don't know where 24 hour fitness finds these spin instructors. This one best resembled a piece of pooh on a bike...wait, a piece of pooh on a bike that had no business being on a bike. However, she did have some kickin beats and I was able to divert from her workout and have a pretty gnarly spin. The other positive was the nice scenary. Mmm, black lycra worn well is so pretty. Back started flaring up near the end. No bueno!

Followed the spin with a one mile swim. Back was hurting on my right arm pulls. It was a pretty easy swim and I was actually surprised that it only took me 30 mins to bust out a mile.

Legs, core and tri's. Good workout and legs are burning. My back is still very sore, but it didn't seem to bother me when working out. Only when walking.

Commute into work. A bit chilly.

Commute home from work. Left work late and decided since it was a nice night to due a Mercer Island loop as well. Half way through the skies opened up and dumped on me!!!! I was drenched. My back really started to ache...I think it was the cold weather.

Road ride from Seattle up to Snohomish and back. Stopped for some yummy pie in Snohomish...officially called the "pie ride". Back is still very sore, but it doesn't hurt nearly as bad on the bike as it does when I walk, stand, sit, etc.
