Orienteering 19:42 [3]3 km (6:34 / km)
shoes: orienteering shoes
WIOL meet at Magnuson Park. It was really fun, but pouring rain the whole time. I had a clean run except for a couple of 5-10 second errors from mixing up thickets.
Soccer 40:00 [3]
shoes: cleats
Soccer game v. the Steelheads, & we tied 0-0. It was a really chaotic game, mostly involving the ball bouncing off a lot of people really fast but not being controlled very much. I don't think we had any subs but we did have a full team, which was awesome.

I played goalie for 1/2. In one play, as goalie I hit the ball away and the oncoming girl from the other team spontaneously fell over and started yelling. It was really weird, since we hadn't actually collided at all...
C • we play 45 minute halves... 3

WIOL Course 5 - Splits

Thursday Nov 15

Run 1:00:00 [3]5.0 mi (11:59 / mi)
shoes: Brooks
Four of us ran to Hamlin Park after school and did some orienteering training, since a couple of people on the team are going to run their first meet on Saturday. It was fun, and there's a permanent course there. I took an indistinct trail that ended up being really messy, though; I fell pretty hard on a pile of logs, so my legs are all cut up, but other than that it was good. We left kind of late and it was dark on the way back.

Tuesday Nov 13

Run 1:00:00 [3]6.4 mi (9:23 / mi)
shoes: Brooks
A pretty big group of us ran to Hamlin after school & ran a couple of "big loops" through the park. The loops are just under a mile each, and there are a couple of hills along the way that are....interesting. We split into smaller groups on the way back, & I finished w/ a 3/4 mile run around the track/talk about Harry Potter with William.

Monday Nov 12

Run 45:31 [3]5.0 mi (9:05 / mi)
shoes: Brooks
Tori, Drew, Max (all on the school orienteering team this year; yay!) and I ran to Shoreline CC and back after school. We didn't run the loop around the CC/park, so we avoided the massive hill [which was excellent :-)]. Good day for running; cool but not raining.
