Orienteering 28:58 [3] * 3.7 km (7:50 / km) +80m 7:04 / km
spiked:8/11c shoes: orienteering shoes
WIOL #5 at Bridle Trails. Rainy/windy/really cold, but still a fairly good turnout from the school team; we had 4 girls and 5 guys.

Fun run, but there was an 'everyone-must-stay-on-trail-rule' that made things a little harder. I lost some time on controls 2 & 3, which were in a small trail network that got a little frustrating, i.e. I could see the hill that the second control was on from a distance, but I had to figure out a really indirect trail route to get there...and I wasn't being very careful about the trail junctions....After the first three controls, everything was far apart and on major trails so it was mostly a trail run.

Walk 15:00 [2] 1.0 mi (14:59 / mi)
shoes: Brooks
Went for a walk with Andy around the neighborhoods. It was pretty dark & windy, so we didn't walk for very long.

Tuesday Jan 1

Run 15:00 [3] 2.1 mi (7:08 / mi)
shoes: Brooks
We were tired of waiting at the bus stop downtown to come home, so we took the next bus going north, which put us in Greenwood...so we ran to Northgate where I'd left the car. It was a fun run, though; I need to start running more again.

Orienteering 20:00 [3] *** 2 km (10:00 / km)
18c shoes: Brooks
Fun orienteering course at the Bresemans' house. I got less lost than I usually do there; the 1:1,000 scale usually confuses me. The time and distance are both guesses.
