They've dug a hole about 5m deep out of the railroad tracks at one point along the path. I wonder what they're going to do.

I'm going to take today off of running, but I'm fixing up the map tonight so I'll do some armchair-o :).

Does anyone know how to map a line of fence posts with no wires between them?

I went for a run with Christina after history. Running with someone always helps me push more up the hills. Great workout & great company.

It helped me wake up, too. I haven't been sleeping enough this week because there's been a large amount of random meetings and then organizing to do for our CLP spring O' event next weekend. So history seemed about three times longer than usual today and my eyes kept trying to shut of their own accord. It was sort of like doing planks with my eyelids for an hour.

I went to the gym just before the run and did a quick set of leg machines, crunch variations, and weights.

Wandered around the outdoor education center for awhile between classes, messing around with the map. It takes more time than I expected, and I still have a lot to do. I guess that is what everyone says to expect.

In any case, it's the first true spring day! Beautiful and warm, so wandering around on the map a lot over the next few days shouldn't be too bad.

The sun was coming up over the trees in the distance, which was really pretty.

6x a random segment I chose along South Road, and a little warm-up and cool-down on the ends.

Note

I was walking back to Cobb along the edge of the graveyard this morning, and a pickup truck was parked in one of the driveways. A wide purple band was painted around the side of it, and there were contours drawn on the purple band! I had to sort of gape at it for about 10 seconds, until I realized there was somebody inside and decided I'd better keep going.

Yikes! Time trial. I apparently do not run as fast as I used to.

7.5 times around the track, after deleting chemistry from my schedule (yess :)). A gym class was just finishing up, but they didn't seem to mind.

So, I need to add speed work back into my training, and I'll run another 3km sometime in April to see if it makes an improvement.

I went for a run from Mallory's house, out to Lake Lynn, and around it once and a quarter or so. Beautiful day!

I'm going to run the time trial on the track at school, tomorrow.

Note

Travel day back to Raleigh, so no training. Lots of airport delays (3 hours late out of Seattle, 1 hour late out of Chicago), but it all worked out :).
