Orienteering race 1:17:10 [5] 5.6 km (13:47 / km) +100m 12:39 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talons 220

Nailed first three controls. Then lost 3 min on 4 and 8 min on 5. Wrong exit angle and slope to 8 but just an extra minute. 2 minutes on 13 then caught Carl and Salome and German lady. Had to push hard to keep up with the women, Carl overshot an open control. Got back into the tricky area and struggled with tiredness and focus. Got confused between 19 and 25 and the routes to 20 and 26. Stumbled across 26 but was tired so missed the full loop of 20 to 25 and headed to the finish.

shoes: Inov8 X-Talons 220

Ran without a compass - my track shows some quite off course running, but I managed to get back on track. Struggled with 13 which I think was on rocks lower than shown on the course. Stupid route choice to 15. Contoured along the steep ridge instead of just going up to the road and across the flat part of the forest. About 10m of extra climb but much easier navigation and easier running.

Tired through the race from about 10min/k to 15min/k at the end.
