Walking 44:00 [1] 4.0 km (11:00 / km) +45m 10:25 / km
shoes: Adidas Supa Nova

Walked to Mugg& Bean for Rooibos and cheesecake. Achilles OK and hopefully I can jog a parkrun on Saturday.

Note

Taking it day by day with the achilles. Was feeling better but the 2k run seems to have made it a bit worse. Doing regular eccentric stretches.

Walking 20:00 [1] 1.0 km (20:00 / km) +15m 18:36 / km
shoes: Saucony

Managed to drag Heidi to the top of the ridge at Pretoria Botanical Gardens. Saw the waterfall and then straight to the restaurant. Saw a dassie.
6 PM

Running (Run with Mika) 13:21 [1] 2.0 km (6:41 / km) +33m 6:10 / km
shoes: Saucony

Two laps of Wilton Park with Mika. Behaved herself but was pretty tired after the run. Mika was also tired.

Each lap exactly 1k so I was thinking of starting a parkrun there. It will be a 5 lapper around the park next to the fence.

ParkRun race 29:25 [4] 5.0 km (5:53 / km) +100m 5:21 / km
shoes: Saucony

As per Sarah's report, some ankle twisting grass fields and paths to start. Then a nice winding route through some of the old bunkers that used to store dynamite. 100m of climb plus the rough terrain means that few people will beat their PB on the old course :(

Same as last two days. Did feel that I was going faster without pushing any harder. Time was lots better with a little more effort
