Orienteering race 36:37 [4] *** 4.4 km (8:19 / km) +115m 7:22 / km
spiked:21/30c shoes: Saucony

First urban event of the year. Lovely new area in Rodean school. The buildings are all at slight angles with tricky paths. There is also a small kopie to make it interesting. Just confused going from 10 to 11. Stood in the road for a moment trying to find the traffic circle on the map. Back across the bridge and a long slog up the road and up the earth banks across the fields and up the stairs to the South side of the school.

Confusing bits from 26 to 30 where it was difficult to work out which way to go especially with low oxygen.

Probably only 1-2 minutes of mistakes. Splits will be interesting.

Jogged around the track once with Brad and Tim to cool down. (not that I actually ran the TT - felt too embarrassed to plod around with some super athletes training at wits).
