Chilled one out to the park circle, down to the river and then back up, with three short hill sprints up Cowley.

Still made ~2 minutes mistakes :/

Too far left on 9, possibly because 8 was too far left. 12 was super confusing, the boulder clusters don't match up with the map. Too far right to 14. Didn't climb enough. Too far right on 15. Boulders led me that way.

Stuffed up 1 again. The map is dodge in that area, found a huge boulder on the wrong side of the ditch. Looking at the splits my hill strength is poor. Stuffed up 9 by 20 secs as well, tough to tell apart the green and light green from far, should have used compass more. 11 was well hidden, was within 15 metres and saw 17 ran to it, then went back. Lost time to 12 which I don't fully understand looking at the map, maybe faffed cutting uphill to the road. Must've run straight accross the ditch to 15 and not seen it at all. Should never lose that much time on a control like that. Hill strength lacking on 18. 26 was a nightmare looking back. Pretty sure I ran past my control thinking it can't be mine. Felt too close to the top road and too far left.

Recently I feel like I turn what could be 30 second time losses into 2 minutes. Have no plan B and run around like a headless chicken. Probably using too few features to navigate off or just using vague ones.

Also Super hot. Cursed for SA champs.

Mistake on 1.

Stuffed up 5 pretty badly then struggled on 9 and 10, mistake on 13, stopped pushing and cruised into finish. Still broken from the heat.

Note

Played quite a bit of hockey and indoor footy thus week, hammy was a bit sore as usual after hockey.
