Event: Jukola 2008

Tuesday Jun 10

Running (Reps) 53:00 [4]10.6 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Salomon XA Pro 3D
Reps at the Domain. 4x5mins with 3 off. Solid session, feel better for it. Pretty consistent distances:

1.39km, 1.37, 1.38, 1.32.

Felt it drop off a little in the last but it's OK not too unhappy. Legs were getting pretty tired especially with intervals last night as well kicking in. The reps included a couple hills so fairly happy with the speed of them. Feeling a bit happier about how I'm sitting for JWOC, the last little bit of training maybe starting to kick in. Got some more sweet sessions before now and take off :)

Monday Jun 9

Running (Intervals) 51:00 [4]10.1 km (5:03 / km)
shoes: adidas adistar Super Sprint
Intervals at the track with James. 4x 1000m. Pretty sweet, felt kinda weird and I dunno if it was good or bad. Strange..

3.00, 3.06, 2.58, 2.59.

Didn't feel wonderful for most of it. Full even though I hardly ate.. Maybe it was water consumption. Legs felt OK for the majority but could feel them complaining in the last couple. Being under or close to the 3.00 mark is kind of satisfying but then I was thinking about that and it's really not very quick.. I can do 5 of them back to back at bout 3.10 so yeah.. Next time I do it might aim to go a bit quicker. Anyway, hopefully it has helped with the speed endurance, #1 training priority atm.
