Biking (Mountain) 4:00:00 [3]
I finally got out mountain biking! All you southern ontario riders were making me jealous. The trails were flat but technical at times and I had developed a bad case of unclipitis over the winter. After a few hours I caught up to three lovely men and out of nowhere, I had a huge burst of speed and flew past them on a technical section. My unclipitis was magically healed and I rode the last hour like La Femme Nikita heading towards the finish line. It felt great to fly through the winding trails. I cant wait for the gats to open in a few days.

Orienteering 56:00 [2]
Took two fellow math teachers out orienteering. They had a great time and will be hitting the woods again. My mom's meet went over swimmingly.
Orienteering 1:15:00 [4]
Picked up the controls from the meet. Not really sure why I didn't bring my fancy dancy new headlamp with me since I spent about 45min in the pitch black trying to deside if I was even looking at the right side of the map. I did eventually collect all the flags and ran pretty quickly on the trails to get back before my mom called the police.

Soccer 1:00:00 [3]
Tough practice with the ladies. We played a full field scrimmage with only 7 a side. Lots of running and I think a little bit of a farmers tan.

Monday May 7

Biking (commute) 1:02:00 [3]25 km (2:29 / km)
Heading back out to school after a conference to go see the girls soccer team kick some butt. Our first win! The afternoon wind was a lot stronger than my normal morning ride.
Biking (commute) 45:00 [4]25 km (1:48 / km)
Hammered the whole way home as I was racing the setting sun. It helped to have a nice tail wind too.

Orienteering 50:00 [2]
Unusual orienteering meet for me today. As I was trying to find a stupid bolder on the side of a hill I saw my mom and she asked me to look at something. As she pulls her sleeve up a huge slab of skin flops down to reveal muscle and fatty tissue galore. She took a nice fall on a beaver stump right at the beginning of the course but didnt think anything was wrong until she felt the skin flapping on her shirt. Of course she wants me to tell her that she can continue with the meet but I managed to get her back to the start and off to the hospital we went. She got 16 stitches to close up the massive whole.

Hockey 1:00:00 [5]
OB1 and my mom came to watch my game so I had to work extra hard. Had a couple one-on-ones but I still lack the moves to deek anyone out. One of my students was also on the other team too and I did manage to get the puck away from her a couple times and I almost plowed her over accidentally. Ooops.
