Friday Jul 4

Note
Up to Orillia for a big weekend for Leanimal. Lots of stressful crafting that I wanted to log. My heart rate was definitely high and I kept on forgetting to breath. There was also some hard core dancing on risers. Super fun and exhausting weekend.

Trecking 3:40:00 [1]
Fast pace back to the car but no peaks to get the calves spasming or sweat pouring like the previous days. Great hiking weekend but we were all happy to be back at the car. It was tough slugging out there and very tricky climbing cliffs with big bags. The terrain was definitely scary at times but we made it through with only a few small injuries (Denise is sporting a lovely fat lip from a face plant).

Trecking 8:30:00 [2]
Warwick slept in so we got a late start but we still fit in plenty of hiking. Two hours before dark we had a group discussion to figure out if we should attempt another couple peaks and risk descending in the dark or return from where we came to make sure we were at least on manageable ground in the dark. The girls decided to play it safe as the last couple mountains were sketchy enough in the daylight. Warwick continued on and ended up camping on top of some mountain (which he loved). We got to our camp just before dark, ate dinner and then hit the sack (which we loved).

Trecking 10:30:00 [2]
Huge day of hiking! Legs were nice and wobbly after climbing up and over many rocky mountains. Finished in the dark like true hard core athletes. I can't remember what we did each day but we concurred the following major peaks; Marcy, Colden, Sky Light, Algonquin, Haystack, Iroquois x 2, Basin, Wright and a handfull more.
