In grand bend for the week. Won't be doing too much training but a neighbor here has a kayak already on the beach that is free for use any time. Best part is Amelia loved going with me even with the half decent sized waves and she fits neatly between my legs. I can almost do my normal paddle stroke. Did a few laps with her and then went out on my own but I didn't have my lifejacket with me so I didn't want to stray too far. I'm going to try to get some big wave training in so I don't pee myself in the ocean.
Ride from home up around Burma. Love that trail!! But I guess the fact that it's 90% downhill and windy makes it a favourite for most people. Made it back up fortune without collapsing on my handlebars this time but I was also riding without a bag since they were calling for downpours all morning (that never came) and I'm packing up tonight for two weeks of cottaging.
Long run in the gats with lots of weight. Did a great route on mostly rocky hilly single track. I had no idea how long it was going to take me but I wanted around 6 hours so I was pretty bang on. Some bush whacking as some trails I chose are winter use only and crossed lakes or swamps. Walked up most hills.
