Orienteering 2:04:50 [3] 7.26 km (17:12 / km) +265m 14:32 / km
Red course at SDO Cuyamaca. I was worried that my knee wouldn't hold up for this, but it turned out to be a nice run. In general, I kept up a pretty good speed, but had significant lost time on three controls. 1) control was misplaced, 6) didn't trust my own pace count and stopped short , 11) confusing rock features and poor map meant the straight route was not a good choice. Don't have splits because my watch busted :-(

Friday Jun 20

Walking 52:00 [1] 3.5 mi (14:51 / mi)
This started as a jogging workout. I was planning to do 8 miles today. I left my car at the shop and headed down the sidewalk toward NoHo Park. But my knee was not up to it, especially on concrete. I ended up slowing to a walk and coming home up Chandler. Hopefully this won't be a problem in Colorado.

Tuesday Jun 17

WU/CD 35:46 [2] 2.3 mi (15:33 / mi)
Jog to the VC Track, Walk/Jog back home
Jogging (1 1/2 Mile Test) 12:56 [5] 1.5 mi (8:36 / mi)
1 1/2 mile test run on track. I haven't done this at all this year and wondered how I would do. I feel like I'm faster than ever. This was not a PR, but came pretty close. I think it's only the third time I've been under 13 minutes. And I definitely started out poorly. It took me longer than usual to get into a rythm. I'm very happy with the result.

O Mapping (control pick-up) 1:30:00 [1]
One leftover loop of Day 1 pick-up. I didn't stick around for Day 2 pick-up since my Dad was celebrating his 75th Birthday. I'm not sure I had any energy left anyway!
Orienteering 1:03:33 [3] 4.43 km (14:21 / km) +105m 12:50 / km
Pre-Run of Brown course for Mt. Pinos. Slower than yesterday - my knee wasn't so happy.

Mostly pick-up from day 1 with a few setting of Day 2
Orienteering 1:00:55 [3] 4.25 km (14:20 / km) +125m 12:30 / km
Pre-Run of Brown course at Mt. Pinos. I had a little edge since I set the course. Very enjoyable run.

Brown Day 1 - Splits

Friday Jun 13

O Mapping (Control Setting) 3:30:00 [1]
