Orienteering race 1:47:36 [4] *** 5.5 km (19:34 / km) +250m 15:56 / km
spiked:8/12c

Day 2 Green at Mt. Pinos. Shorter course, fewer mistakes, longer time. My lack of conditioning made an even bigger difference on the second day. I barely ran at all and was really dogging it on the uphills. Especially 11 to 12.

Orienteering race 1:40:44 [4] *** 6.2 km (16:15 / km) +240m 13:37 / km
spiked:10/14c

Day 1 Green at Mt. Pinos. Really should have been called RED. This was a very physically and technically demanding course. I felt very good technically, but wish I was in better shape for these hills and altitude. My biggest mistake cost me about 4 minutes. At number 3, I picked a nice attack point, but then got a little too confident and didn't really go to it. When I got close to the control circle I realized I wasn't as sure as I thought and ended up bailing toward the original attack point to be sure.

Running (bunny flushing) 23:00 [3]
weight:134lbs

Just a short jog to keep from losing it. Tomorrow I'll take a rest day before Mt. Pinos on the weekend. Avg. 87 paces/min.

Running (bunny flushing) 33:02 [3] 3.0 mi (11:01 / mi)

Tried to go a little longer in the hope that I actually did close to 3 miles. I really worked today on my running technique, shortening my stride while upping my pace. I was averaging about 88 paces/minute. Felt good once I got warmed up.
