Orienteering 1:30:00 [2]

Hang controls for Afton meet. Nice morning. Saw a few white tails, and a couple big turkeys. Also saw three vintage fighter planes overhead. They were flying in tight formation up and down the St. Croix river valley. The drone they made was right out of a WWII movie. Very ominous.

In spite of recent warm weather, and 80% of the snow being gone, the footing was not bad. As Todd noted, the trails were actually the worst. It will be interesting to see how well the fast people do on the course today.

I had on my "StableIcers". They are an old competitor to yack trax. Stretchy rubber pullovers for your shoes, with what appear to be sheet metal screws in the bottom. I've had them for years, but haven't worn them for a while. They were good for today with the exception of steep downhills where they would stretch too much and flop off.

When we got done hanging controls, Todd noted how slow I was. Wasn't that nice?

Cycling Road 38:00 [2]

A couple loops through the fairgrounds. It's kind of spooky in the dark. A desolate place for being right in the middle of the city.

Weights 5:00 [2]

Starting from scratch with the 100 push up and 200 sit up programs. After some shoulder trouble and embarrassing injury from the sit up program, I am starting with the easiest course on each. I plan to shift them from six week to ten week programs by going back to the first week after three weeks -- but then doing a more intensive course. Something like that.
Week 1, Day 1, column 1 on each.
