1:08 PM. Lake Maria SP.

Nice course design. Seemed like there were alot of new, interesting legs. Control #12 was questionable, but I'm still not sure if it was good or bad. I made a bad choice going into it, which cost me alot of time. Part of my decision making was based on vegetation in the rest of the park. I assumed the green around the control would be nearly impossible to get through, so I wanted to go to the road. I had lots of trouble getting to the road, and I'm not sure what percent of the time lost was due to me and how much to inconsistent vegetation markings. I thought the greeen by the control was much easier to get through than some white and lighter green I'd seen earlier on the course.

Had trouble with the first control too -- but that was just bad orienteering on my part. Those were my two memorable controls. Everything else was great. Actually felt strong the entire way -- just not fast enough.

Jump rope, low casting (trapeze) and hoops.

Jump rope with a group of adults is always fun and interesting.

4:25 PM. Snail Lake.

Halloween O & memory O courtesy for Sandy. Nice course. Some field running, some trails, some paved trails, so plenty of variety.

Excellent night to O' and run. I think it has been 4 weeks since I've run this far, but this was an excellent way to get back into it. I made a number of mistakes, but nothing major. I am generally familiar with the layout of the park, so that gave me a slight advantage. On the other hand, I went a few places tonight that I had never been before.
