Saturday crossy at Cooleman Ridge. This run is a bit undulating and in a rare departure for the actcc is on a fire trail rather than bitumen. It had also rained all morning so there were puddles and mud - nearly like an old school cross country race. Ran near gramps for the first 3 k, I was quicker up the hills then he'd fly past going down, then i dropped off a bit after 3 k's lacking a bit of spring in the legs still. Halfway split was 15.34 so the return leg was a bit slower. Still this was a lot quicker than the 34.28 on the same course last year.

Tour de Pete. Just four riders this morning pace was very 'marathon recovery' as it was first ride back for acejase and I. Seemed to get colder as the ride went on, as i was already in all my winter gear don't know what it'll be like on the -6 mornings still to come. Coffee at Sfoglia afterwards, better value food, only $3.50 for raisin toast instead of $10 or whatever it is at karl marxes.

Bilbys. Quite a good Thursday session, these are much less crowded than Tuesdays and temperature was fairly warm for the time of year. Set was 4x800 then 6x400
Splits: 2.56, 2.51, 2.45, 2.50, 1.21, 1.22, 1.22, 1.24, 1.23, 1.25

Rest day - had thought about riding today but sound of rain at 5.30am was enough of an excuse to not go on the Bilbys 60km ride. Will wait for the tour de pete on friday

Bilbys intervals. Quite a cool evening with a bit of rain around so there wasn't the usual half hour of warmup stretching making for a much shorter session. Set was 4x1500 with about 200m easy between didn't push very hard except in the second one where one of the juniors was running just behind me. Splits were 5.48, 5.36, 5.52, 5.53. Legs still aren't 100% but recovering well.

Bilbys swim session. Moved back up to the medium lane, which was the lane of choice with about 10 people in it and 2 in the slow and fast. didn't really want to be lapping the world champ every ten minutes so stayed in the medium lane. was a lot better than last week but was starting to cramp towards the end.
