Morning ride round a version of the mugga way loop. Climbing up mugga way felt ok and starting at 7.30 meant it wasn't quite as freezing.

Went to buy a new pair of running shoes, so as I'd ventured to the southside thought I'd go all the way and do the crossy at mt tuggers. Turned out to be quite a long drive to get there and the wind had got up a bit more since the morning's ride. was getting cold as soon as i stopped so kept jogging around until the start. Didn't start on the front so had to do a bit of overtaking. Got behind this bloke running like a gorilla, who I've seen at a few triathlons and stuck behind him for a while until he blew up at the second hill. Then had bit of a duel with this long haired guy who kept cutting in front of me then putting the brakes on. On the second loop there was a long climb so I put some clear space behind me. emily brichacek was next in front but she was running well and pulling away slightly on the level and downhill and would have been 15-20s in front by the end. Was happy with the time given the undulating course and the wind.

csiro thursday lunchtime running club. fairly flat run round black mountain and aranda bushland. quite a lively pace for a thursday run

Bilbys intervals. Definitely getting colder, but had remembered to pack thermals this week, did the long set of 3x1600, 400 float, 4x400, 200 float. ran in lane 5 so I guess that adds about 100 on the 16s. Splits, 6.29, 6.26, 6.32, 1.34, 1.35, 1.36, 1.33
