Running intervals 30:00 [4] 7.2 km (4:10 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS7

Bilbys intervals for the second time this week. Felt a bit flat so didn't try and keep up with the youngsters. Less messing about at the warm up as it's a much smaller group than tuesdays. Did the long set but at a lower intensity than usual 2x200, 2x600, 2x1000, 2x600, 2x200 with 200 recovery between each. Splits: 43, 43, 2.11, 2.16, 3.53, 3.55, 2.20, 2.16, 45. 43. Biggest week of training for a while.

Swimming 1:30:00 [4] 3.0 km (30:00 / km)
shoes: speedos

Bilbys swimming. Still in the slow lane, but today was in 3rd or 4th position, so maybe some improvement. Session had a lot of sprinty stuff in it, so was quite tough.

Running intervals 33:00 [5] 6.0 km (5:30 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS7

Bilbys intervals - had cooled off a bit by the evening so conditions were really good. Once again a ton of novices there on the inner 4 lanes of the track. The regulars were in the outer four lanes doing a horseshoe set 3x 600, 2x1200, 3x600. I'd guess that given the outer lanes you can add about 50m onto the 600s and 100m on the 1200s. Splits were 2.17, 2.17, 2.16, 4.48, 4.50, 2.23, 2.22, 2.20. Had a bit more speed than in the last few weeks, so training is working. Was glad when acejase rang later to cancel the tour de not Ron.

caught up with mace, who'd sensibly turned up late and missed the first 15 minutes of this.

Swimming 1:30:00 [4] 3.0 km (30:00 / km)
shoes: speedos

Bilbys swim squad. Still back in the slow lane. A few more people there last night including the viking, back from a non-swimming winter and suffering a lot more than I was last week. Somehow got near the front of the lane, but wasn't long before my toes were being tickled and the progress to the back started. the new coach had got the idea that this really was the slow lane and had given us an easier set and let us off wearing the bondage band. Arms weren't as tired as after last week.

Cycling long 2:00:00 [3] 60.0 km (2:00 / km)

Long ride along the goulburn valley way. Flat road, but into a headwind going out so it felt uphill. Had two encounters with magpies, when the first one came in I was having a drink so he got some water in the face. These magpies weren't as dedicated as Canberra one as they didn't come back for a second go as I was riding back.
