Cotter-Uriarra loop. First time on a bilbys saturday ride in ages, I think last time I went there was a massive bunch that had to wait at the top of every hill. The roll up this morning was pretty small and the fast medium group was just four. We hit a heavy shower going down to the cotter but it cleared up after that and was just the right temperature for a ride. I pulled away on the mt mcdonald and 3 sisters climbs, so there's still something left from all the hill reos earlier in the year

Lake swims started up again, water was very flat round the ferry terminal with a bit of chop towards the museum, thought the water temperature justified the wetsuit. Was well off-course on the way back so would have added a couple of hundred metres

Run after the swim - think it was 4ks as it was at a triathlon race pace

Started some technique sessions with Lex Anderson, so will see if this makes any improvement

Bilbys intervals. The set was a ~550-600m loop with a couple of little hills in it with a 1 min rest between intervals. Still a bit off the pace at the moment but a bit better than recent weeks and felt I'd done more work at the end of the set. Splits were 2.12, 2.03, 2.02, 2.03, 2.06, 2.07, 2.07, 2.08, 2.09, 2.08, 2.07.

After two weeks break a return to the pool. Felt like hard work, especially the last half hour which was a pyramid set with quite short breaks between intervals. Was convinced I saw some kind of creature swimming along the bottom of the pool along with the usual detritus.
