Running intervals 21:45 [5] 5.25 km (4:09 / km)
shoes: Asics Kayano 14

Bilbys intervals; tonight was a v-dubya set. In the light of the weekends efforts just did 7 reps but the intensity was quite high. Splits of 2.21, 2.23, 2.23, 2.27, 2.29, 2.26, 2.22. Wasn't too cold tonight, and the grass wasn't slippery (which is a good thing with the VWs)

Bilbys warm up warm up/down 40:00 [3]

Orienteering race 2:05:31 [3] 17.2 km (7:18 / km) +550m 6:17 / km
shoes: HH trailcutters

ACT long. Was expecting a long day at the office for this race and picking up the map and seeing a leg crossing the whole map didn't exactly get rid of that feeling. Took the first leg conservatively going for the watercourses to the right of the control as a unmissable attackpoint, was a bit hesistant navigating into the control but relieved when the flag was where I expected. After that picked up speed a little and was joined by quite a slow WA runner who sat on my heels for a while. The next long leg 8-9 was spot on then had little wobbles at 10 and 11. Lost a few minutes at 13, didn't see the route choice round the road which would have been best so went down and up a big gully then came out near 16. Wasn't quite sure where I was but hadn't crossed the path, so aimed towards the road. Jules went past at that point and so I got a good lead into the control. Was fading a little into the map change but was joined by another qlder. Was with him the rest of the way round but kept navigating well and was picking the controls better. We hauled wazza in towards the end by which time I could feel the fatigue. Definitely the best run of the weekend.
