Running intervals (Bilbys) 36:00 [5] 9.0 km (4:00 / km)
shoes: kayano 15

A fairly small group tonight, but with michael and daudi there it was quite quick. Ended up doing the extra long set of 9x 800(200), the spilts were 3 min +/- 1 sec for each one which I thought was good. There was a woman there doing the same set and nearly keeping up with me, I was relieved to hear that she was aiming for a 2.55 marathon in a few weeks time.

Running intervals (bilbys) 36:00 [5]
shoes: kayano 15

Tonights set was 4x 3min(90sec) 4x 2min (1min), 1x 4 min. Seemed to be going well and was covering a bit over 800m in 3 min reps. No-one there running at my pace. Quite misty on the ovals, eventually a breeze got up and blew it all into the corner.

Orienteering race (Kowen Badge event) 1:29:35 [4] 12.1 km (7:24 / km)
shoes: HH trailcutters

Bit of a chilly morning but at least the sun was out. Although the field for this event was quite small, it was pretty high quality. Started off quite well and was running good lines and hitting the controls pretty well. There was only fatrat behind me and I didn't see any sign of him until after the long leg. I'd missed the track junction I was using as the attack point to 5 and thought he would have got in front so was surprised to see him at 6. I had him in sight all the way to 14, but was dropped climbing the hill to 15, so was suprised to catch him again at 15. After that I was struggling to maintain a good pace, and was not very accurate through the last few controls in the flat thickety area near the finish. The running was a bit tougher than at timbertops the other week, so reasonably happy to go under 90.
