On bruce ridge while it was warm, quite a few other riders out there mainly going the opposite way on the single tracks. There has been some track restoration that has included adding a lot of big humps, I guess its to slow you down on the single track.

Bilbys on a much more pleasant evening than tuesday. Set was 4x800(200) then 7x 400(100) splits 2.55, 2.55, 2.53, 2.54, 1.26, 1.25, 1.25, 1.24, 1.25, 1.26, 1.25. Good even splits and not too bad a pace considering I was feeling tired at the start.

WNT was O intervals on lyneham ridge set by phoebe. Fel, lazydave, jose and phoebe did intervals, miss jones, alj, sanders and lucy ran on the tracks. I'd forgotten to pack a compass so it was a bit tricky working out which direction to go at times, luckily lazydave was in front guiding the way. Reckon we found about half the controls. DC frogga made a guest appearance running without a light on the ridge.
Afterwards there were vast quantities of soup and awesome bread.

A pretty small group at bilbys tonight - probably because it was freezing. We got through the warmup pretty fast again then into the set of 4x1km(200), 4x600(100). Was trying to keep the splits even but dropped a bit of speed on the last one of each group. Splits were 3.47, 3.47, 3.48, 3.50, 2.20, 2.29, 2.29, 2.22. Was running in lane 2 which was the excuse for these being a bit slow - plus did I mention how cold it was - not sure I really got warmed up.

was going to get up and do some blackie reps on the bike this morning but took an extra hour to wake up. Might have been related to spending the evening before pulling the washing machine to bits to clear out the heap of mouse droppings that the mouse that's somewhere in the house had left there. The cat is in disgrace after the mouse was seen running round the house in broad daylight yesterday, while he sat on a cushion having a sleep.

Another small group today with just mace grantm and acejase (who had run in from home). A crisp winter morning with the car thermometer reading 0 at the start of the run, so beanies and gloves were the order of the day. We started with ainslie so jase could get a drink, the pace was a bit quicker than usual with jase fully warmed up then grant putting in a surge after he'd warmed up. I put a bit of an effort in up ainslie which got my legs warmed up properly. Once we were over hackett hill we got caught by liz on her mtb looking for vanessa's crew so she joined us for a loopd down in the pines. There was a corc race on so we just ran down the fire trail to the winery then loped back and up to the saddle. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't get to 90 minutes so took it slowly back to the carpark, in the end a bit too slow and ended up with an extra minute.
Afterwards we went to wilburs for super-sleeper bacon and egg rolls and a discussion of the best i-phone apps - i think i might have to update from my super-crap phone.
