Snowboarding 1:00:00 [3]

The flight to Japan was delayed by 14hrs so I checked to see if I could change the return - it was only $100 and I was given another envelope of yens for staying the extra night. The net result was another day on the snow. Had the whole day there including a lesson in going through the trees without hitting them.

Running 1:00:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 terrafly 315 gtx

A more substantial run aiming for the ski jump. It wasn't too busy at the start so I could run across a lot of red lights. In the end got to the park below the ski jump and ran round the edge then back to the hotel. Was getting busier by then so a lot more stopping. Saw a few other runners including one guy in shorts which seemed to be slightly excessive HTFU compared to my multilayer thermals. Colder than yesterday for sure.

Running 25:00 [3]

Another morning run - it was freezing cold and the conference was starting this morning, so two reasons for a short run. Ran through the uni - it seemed that runners go on the road, but bikes are on the footpath. He road was better as the paths are hard-pack snow in the middle but soft edges for the unwary. Terraflys still doing the job.

A pre-breakfast run in sapporo, it wasn't very far because I was stopping at a lot of traffic lights. It was quite cold so I was glad to have a few layers on. The terraflys performed pretty well on the packed snow and ice on the pavements.

Snowboarding 1:00:00 [3]

A day out snowboarding in Sapporo - I decided this was troggable as I didn't stop for 4 hours. Lots of powder and the sun was out, nearly came unstuck in the trees a few times.
