Summer series on Bruce Ridge. Just a slow and steady run, a few little wobbles, spent a bit of time looking for 6 where the circle was on the watercourse rather than the fence and working through the green to 12.

Time to kick off the cradle run training so did the extra long set of 8x 1km .... no not really, just did 5 laps alternating a slightly faster 200m with a slower one to roll the legs over a bit. A few aches but otherwise not too bad considering. Sat around stretching for a while after, although it did start to get a bit cold after a while.

Not surprisingly a rest day - but before flying back there was the pressos. The commentator was still going with a long story of the race day to kick things off. The canberra contingent got plenty of loot, vanessa was 1st veteran woman, stu won the shorter luxmore grunt, mel clarke was second in the grunt and I got 3rd veteran - which was a goodie bag including a new sleeping bag.
Legs still quite sore today along with all the other runners hobbling round Te Anau

And lastly my favourite bit of kiwi from the trip - the race commentator telling us about a runner who was looking forward to the 'fulling of ucstasy' when he finished
