No bilbys ride for me this morning as it was 6FT entry day. Got a place without a problem, hopefully I'll be back in wave 1 this year

Mountain bike 1:00:00 [3]

I thought I should do some training today so rode a long way from home via Bruce ridge and blackie to help the bilbys at the half IM rego.

Running 40:14 [3] 7.26 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Salomon s-lab sense

A little run on the ridge, quite pleasant in the light rain. Lots of single track and some terrain when one of the tracks ran out. No snakes tonight but lots of rabbits.

Mountain bike 1:00:00 [3]

Nice easy ride on the ridge, stopped to say hi to the bilbys doing intervals at the bottom of the bike track. NIce day to not be doing intervals :) Must have been warm as there was a snake on the path

Running warm up/down 10:00 [3]
shoes: X-talon 190

5 mins warmup and 5 mins warm down with robe. A lot of discussions about shoes, backpacks and water for cradle mtn run

Orienteering race 22:31 [4] 4.82 km (4:40 / km) +18m 4:35 / km
shoes: X-talon 190

Summer series at weston park. Fun course on a more restricted area than usual with some good little loops in the boathouses, gardens and playgrounds. Ok apart from going to 25 instead of 24 and having to double back losing about 30 sec and a bit sloppy round 15 to 17.

Running 45:13 [4] 8.54 km (5:18 / km) +1m 5:18 / km
ahr:133 max:179 shoes: Nike lunar racer

Crossy relays at lennox gardens. I did a team of 2 with acejase which meant 4x 1 mile with a recovery while acejase did his leg. The lunar racers came out of retirement for one last appearance and helped me put in some solid efforts. Faded a bit on the last one which was probably due to seeing how long I could keep marty in sight at the start of it - the answer was not long. More fun than just doing intervals.

Running 6:10 [3] 1.0 km (6:11 / km) +1m 6:09 / km
ahr:130 max:136 shoes: Nike lunar racer

Bit of a warm down jog with acejase and BigD

The cockies christmas long run with a big crowd including grantm, grant, acejase, robw, BigD, lolly, alj, grace, craney, joshyb, hoggster and two swiss visitors. Direct routes were the order of the day, majura via the zig zag track with lolly running well on his first run up there, then straight down to hackett hill and up the tricky track to ainslie. Drinks and snakes on the top then down to haig park and up to blackie via the back of csiro and the concrete path. The pressos for the black mountain challenge were just finishing up when we got there. Then it was back down for a relaxing brekkie organised by miss jones and grantm featuring pancakes, egg muffins, milkshakes and coffees, yummy!
