Cycling 2:27:00 [3] 75.0 km (1:58 / km)

Bilbys Saturday ride, uriarra - cotter. Somehow we started off with a massive group of 20+, which was a bit scary going down into uriarra. At the top of the hill we sent the long group off ahead which left a much better medium group. I thought we weren't going that fast, but still averaged over 30 kmph. Started to warm up a lot over coffee at good brother.

Swimming 1:30:00 [3] 3.7 km (24:19 / km)

Quite a long swim for me. I think my endurance is improving a bit, but my technique and speed are still pretty ordinary. The pool was packed so there was the occasional random swimming across the lanes.

Orienteering race 43:03 [3] 7.56 km (5:42 / km) +156m 5:10 / km
shoes: brooks cascadia

A bit of a slow run around the summer series course at Aranda Hill as I'm a bit of a summer series tragic. Tried to avoid going up too many hills, but ended up going over the top on the last leg. Spoilt a bit by no 8 not being there, it was on a pretty obvious pipe, so didn't waste time searching around for it.

Running 18:54 [2] 3.69 km (5:08 / km) +5m 5:05 / km
shoes: X-talon 190

Six foot training starts here ..... just a bit of a jog around at bilbys. It was a whistle set tonight so a good one not to be doing intervals. Bit of soreness in calves and lower back but not that bad considering. Was talking to Jodie who was telling me about a friend of hers who did the big four 100 milers in the US in a year, that's definitely in the crazy zone.

Swimming 1:15:00 [3] 2.5 km (30:00 / km)

Went for a swim with guy, kate and gary. Most of the time I just used the pull buoy. It felt like this was quite good for loosening up my back which was feeling a bit sore after the run. As a bonus it also washed a bit more of the mud out of my feet.

(rest day)

Travelling back from tassie, this was quite a long day as brekky and the presoes were at 7am and we finally got back to canberra around 7. Sitting in melbourne while virgin fixed the captain's seat on the plane didn't help. Rob suggested they could have just used a milk crate.
