blobby ridge run in the dark - only saw roos out there tonight. Then home to do some packing and spent half an hour on phone to qantas rearranging tomorrows flights to melbourne after the one I was on got cancelled.

Bilbys at UC. I did 6x 2laps which were just short of 1km. A bit better than Tuesday night, although the pace was still not that flash. A bit less coughing but seem to be taking a while to get over this cold thing. Looking forward to some northern hemisphere sun this weekend.

Bilbys intervals on a foggy evening. Have been suffering a bit with a cough since getting back from Italy so wasn't expecting much from this session. Started with 3x 600 which were more of a warmup then 3x 1km. Was going to do another 1km but was not feeling that great so called it a day. Legs were still pretty sore from sunday's run especially quads.

Running race (Wingello trail classic) 1:52:49 [4] 24.24 km (4:39 / km) +445m 4:16 / km
shoes: salomon sense mantra

Decided to enter this during the week as a bit of a hit out before heading off on a round the world tour next weekend that includes a trail marathon in the US and a lot of work stuff as well. A bit of an early start for the drive up with robw on a pretty misty morning. I opted for the mantras as the tracks didn't look too soggy and put on a thermal as it wasn't roasting hot.
This was a pretty good course with a lot of single track and narrow fire trails. I got a bit carried away on the first bit of single track and hammered some of the early downhills a bit hard. After that I got into a good rhythm and kept pushing along well. I could tell I hadn't done much running for a while as it was a bit slow, daveO and ange went through at about 9km, and after that I was on my own most of the time apart from a few runners going past and going past a few people who'd overcooked it big time early on. The single track was really enjoyable to run on, and it didn't seem like too long until 20km ticked over. I tired a bit over the last few km and was happy to see the finish area. Came in 12th and 3rd M40 which was ntb, and inside my target of 2 hrs.
A really good area for a trail run, the organisation wasn't super slick, but the course marking was OK and the timing worked.
