Cycling 2:21:28 [3] 68.1 km (2:05 / km) +727m 1:58 / km

Back to canberra for the bilbys ride. Just a few of us this morning, with a bad weather forecast putting people off, but turned out to be reasonably OK. We did a wet weather route round the sewage works, hall and horse park drive. Got a massive chunk of glass through my tyre on the way up belco way which was fixed with the help of a muesli bar wrapper which held out for the ride, but need to get a new tyre as it had gone straight through the kevlar. Afterwards we tried the new cafe near sfoglia which was advertising the biggest cheapest breakfast in canberra, turned out to be quite slow service and a bit more expensive so we'll be back at sfoglia next week.

Another sunny day although it was a bit harder to find good runs. Went over to guthega for a lot of t-bar riding, then blue cow and back to front valley.

Snowboarding 6:23:26 [0] 50.04 km (7:40 / km) +5584m 4:55 / km

A sunny day at perisher with some fresh snow. A sort of bilbys snow trip, we got there quite early and finished when the last lift shut as the conditions were good. Also to get full value from the $115 lift ticket! Had the garmin running for most of it and did some big zigzags on the last run to push it over 50km.

Tuesday ints with a pretty big group. The set was 6x 1km, the first two were with a scottish bloke, then jack dropped back to have an easy run. Was pleased with how fast I'd recovered from C2S.

Back for a second crack at this as I had a preferred start from my time last year. Got a good warmup along with craney, matt parton, lance and keith the beard out the front of the start. Ended up near the back of the start group, so there was a little bit of traffic to negotiate. I tried to get into a good pushing hard pace through the first few km, and was going OK but didn't feel exactly speedy. Looking at my pace I dropped quite a bit on heartbreak hill, and going past the clock at the halfway point could see it was reading 27min, so wasn't looking good for going under the 52 min cut off. Caught keith the beard up here who said he wasn't having a great day. Ran beside him for a bit then went in front on one of the little climbs, where I was still able to keep pushing. Was good to see the 11 km mark and head downhill. Loads of people including keith went past here. Seemed to take a while to go along the front at bondi and round into the finish. Was behind lance, who had a good run in about 52.40, and well outside 52 mins. My legs are perhaps still a bit tired from the marathon two weeks ago so need a few easier weeks to recover, and maybe some stretches, foam rollering etc. Official time was 53.20
