shoes: Nike zoom wildhorse

Morning run with kate round lyneham, o'connor and bruce ridges. She was a bit quicker than me so I used the acejase trick of getting in front on the single track to control the pace. Great running morning and got a good distance covered. To good brother afterwards where a few bilbys riders joined us for coffee.

Bilbys thursday, no intervals tonight, just a lamp run on o'connor and lyneham ridges. This was plenty long enough.

Bilbys ints at lake G. A ripper warm evening, and just right for doing a shortish set of 5x 3min efforts. Ran with kylie, this week I could keep up which was an improvement and was dipping under 4 min/k pace in the efforts.

I had thought about doing the Tidbinbilla race, but decided that instead of blowing $40 on a slow race (or as cathy pointed out $1 per 200m) I'd just do my own run. After consulting the bus timetables I worked out there was a 1hr30 gap between buses to and from hackett shops so headed off to do majura/ainslie. Catching the bus, I discover that my card had no credit on it even though I recharged last week, so had to pay the double cash fare, then during the trip the driver let two people get on without paying. Ran up to the carpark, as expected no sign of any cockies cars there, so went up the zigzag to majura, was really feeling it on the pinches near the top but was determined not to walk. Then straight down and over hackett hill and onwards to ainslie. I was on a timeline to catch the bus to avoid an hours wait or another half hour of running so just went up the saddle then down the tricky track. Turned out I had 10 mins to spare so there was time to grab a takeaway coffee from Wilburs before the bus came. Good to get over 10km and break the hour barrier too, and really good to see a bit of different scenery on a run.
