Cycling 2:34:30 [3] 70.99 km (2:11 / km) +755m 2:04 / km

Small bilbys bunch to wallaroo which was quite cruisey, had a bit of a push up the wallaroo climb but the headwind made it a bit slower than usual.

Cycling 1:22:31 [3] 38.05 km (2:10 / km) +259m 2:06 / km

Bilbys Dunlop loop, went in fast-medium for a rest but there were enough riders from the fast bunch that it was faster than usual. Hit a bit of sketchy road surface and ran off the edge on kuringa drive and got a flat. After fixing it caught marty and mark so rode with them for the rest of the loop.

Cycling race 3:11:32 [3] 68.34 km (2:48 / km) +1071m 2:36 / km

The honeysuckle hammer - after riding away from C grade in the Corin Classi I was bumped up to B grade, so this was always going to be a bit of a tougher race added to which the rear derailleur cable was sticking so I couldn't shift onto the two small rings, not too much of a problem on a climb though. The first half lap was reasonably contained, as usual there was a large contingent sitting at the back, I got up near the front and did a few turns with Tom and Lucy but didn't want to do too much. Then round the turn, back to the start, turn again, there were a few half hearted moves, but the bunch was still together going onto Apollo road and through the sprint point. Just after the start of the comb we went through the C grade bunch, which meant a bit of confusion about who was where, but I'd already lost touch with the front five or so riders so was just a case of keeping a good rhythm up the steeper bits then trying to speed up when the gradient eased. Got past Tom who had probably done too much work early on, but then Sam went past and then an ANU rider. I got on the wheel of the ANU guy which gave me a good tow up the latter stages. Would have been a minute or so back on the leaders but 3 mins faster up the climb than last year so was happy enough.
