well i meant to go training today, but ended up spending time with the inlaws, chilling out and doing work.

shoes: Nike XC

national xc relays. ran 2nd leg for our 3rd team. given my lack of suitable training recently i was pretty pleased with my race. paced it well and overtook 5 girls. had aislinn to chase down which was good.
impressive hallamshire turnout with the first team 4th, 2nd team 18th and 3rd team 47th :)

morning run round the streets and bole hill. i thought this run was longer than this... will have to find a better morning route.
glad i went out as stiff all over from weights yesterday but will hopefully now be a bit looser before running tonight.

Running intervals (hallamshire) 55:00 intensity: (30:00 @2) + (10:00 @3) + (5:00 @4) + (10:00 @5)

pre mansfield session so just 2 x 2.30 with about the same inbetween. nice to get the lungs working :)

Strength & Conditioning 45:00 [3]

3 x {8 x 60kg squat, plank, wobbles}
3 x {6 x 35kg clean, 8kg DB side bend, wobbles}
3 x {8 x 38kg dead lift, 18 x back extension, squat wobbles}
3 x {2 x 6 x 14kg DB lunges, 12 x jack-knife, 3.5kg DB wobbles}

had planned to do 55 on the squats but was sharing the squat rack with a very friendly chap who was lifting 115 so doing 60 was easier. by the time i got to the lunges my legs had gone totally.
can tell its a good session when walking back downstairs in the gym after is a bit wobbly!

the aerobics girl was teaching it this week so it was a bit more strengthy and less pilates like but good anyway

i'd forgotten that the clocks going back would mean it was dark in the evenings and was quite disappointed to see it was dark long long before i left work :(
still, had a nice run round the streets up through crookes and back down the A57. good to actually run continuously for more than 5 mins for the first time in 2 weeks!
