Another gorgeous day in the peaks and a lovely ride out. With Ian and Alex down to the Firestation to pick up Dave, then up to Damflask, Bamford, Bradwell, Foolow, Eyam, Hathersage for Mocha and flapjack and back up the beastly climb and home through fulwood. Stopped my watch waiting for Ian when he missed a junction and forgot to start it again. A bit frustrating as I worked hard up the last hill to try get a strava segment, dammit! Legs absolutely destroyed by the end. We broke Ian comprehensively too :-)
Time for a bath :-)

First attempt at MTBO. Loved it!
Was quite aprehensive beforehand about riding with spds but it worked well. Quite tentative at the start but got way more confident as it went on. Charlie came past me on the way to number 2 and I didn't see her for ages, but caught her up again at the end :-)
It was loads of fun, will definitely be doing mtbo again. Thanks very much Lucy for the loan of the bike!

Out on the roads with Ian and Alex. Shortish loop round Damflask and up to Our Cow Molly for icecream and coffee then back home again (forgot to restart watch after stop so gps trail not complete). Lovely ride. Legs killing me now!!

Aquajogging. Got told off by the lifeguard for aquajogging. He completely understood that I was a) faster than the swimmers in the slow land and b) not getting in their way, but apparently they have a policy that you can't aquajog during lane swimming and therefore can only aquajog on a sunday. I explained to him that I thought that was a little ridiculous. He let me finish the session at least...
...then I had a nice discussion with the supervisor afterwards. Who phoned me later on to say that the Operations Director says I'm allowed to aqua jog if I bring in a doctor's note to show it's for rehab. Then they will give me my own lane(!). Que Alex :-)
