Blue Hill Traverse. Loved it! So great to be out in the blue hills again and nice to come full circle for our year here. We will miss it!

Fun race as sometimes I was completely on my own and sometimes there were a fair few people around. Every time we hit a trail, flat track or hill Alex and the guys ran away from me. Then it would get to a tricky bit, some terrain or I’d take a better line and they’d be in sight again. A fun game of cat and mouse. I was surprised by how much of the time I couldn’t see other people. I made two mistakes (one poor route and one off line) but otherwise it went well and was very fun. After 75 mins my hamstrings and glutes were wondering what was going on and by 90 mins they’d given up. Walked a fair few of the hills after that! This is the longest I’ve run for for 5 years so not surprising really :-)
