whistle set of 4 x 4mins (90sec) then 2 x 3mins (no idea). Still really sniffly with a cold, felt OK but not 100%. Good fun as always.

Orienteering 1:09:58 [3]

Red 2 at Ratall Creek
Brrrrr, very chilly at the start and appreciated long warm up on the track while waiting for the organisers to put in the SI start unit :)
Had a good run to numbers 1 and 2, with careful nav and nice open terrain. Went into the wrong gully at no. 3 but had predicted I might, so quickly moved on to the correct one. Rest of the course was OK but a bit wobbly and slow in parts, especially going over fences. Annoyed with route choice on the long leg because I had to detour a long way to find a good fence crossing point, and then changed my route choice from there. But otherwise a good run in a fun area. Felt quite crook crossing the finish line though, seem to have caught the cold that everybody else has.

Run 1:00:00 [3]

Ran round bits of black mountain at lunchtime - yucky weather - only thing that kept me going was that I plan a rest day tomorrow!
Have enjoyed all the running this week but legs getting a bit tired.

Easy run 50:00 [2]

bludgy jog round the suburbs and beside the lake. VERY difficult to get out of bed this morning though. nice to start the day with a run, it always puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Long run 1:20:00 [3]

Long run with Devil and GrantM round the flat track, up Ainslie through the heavy traffic (large number of dogwalkers this morning) then down the back and round campbell park and through the saddle. Great run, guys, thanks for that. Legs stiff and hardly moving though. Probably they are turning into flippers given the amount of yummy seafood I've eaten in the past 10 days.

saw a man limping round the sweets aisle in the supermarket looking like he'd run the mara today, I gave him a mental "thumbs-up"

Sandboarding 30:00 [3]

It's like snowboarding but on sand. Time spent searching for sand dunes far exceeded actual boarding time but it was great fun once we got going. I could barely manage to stand up on the board and finished every run on my bottom. Devil was flying down the dunes, even the mega-dune which had a hefty bulldozer at the bottom.

Orienteering race 1:02:26 [5]

Day 3 of Easter. Started out 2 mins behind the leader and couldn't catch her, even though I had a fairly good run, just slow and steady through some of them. Missed one right at the end but relocated very quickly, happy with the day and the whole event. Body felt a bit battered and bruised by the end, so glad to have some days off running now!

Orienteering race 1:15:22 [5]

Day 2 of Easter. My best run of the carnival. Accidentally ran right past number 3 (an earth wall in a watercourse) so very disappointed seeing as I could have spiked it easily. (Overheard the next day that another girl did the same as me and reckoned the control was "hidden" behind a log). No problems with the rest, and am especially proud of my best leg where I dodged the big hill by running round it and had heaps of energy for the last few hilly controls. Ended up first on the day, woo hoo. But still behind Suzie Kluth (same course), I can't catch her at all.

Orienteering race 1:09:57 [5]

Day 1 of Easter, W21A, a bit wobbly to most of the controls, especially the open area, but enjoyed running round the hillsides in the middle section. Big stuff up at number 4 where I exited the control in the wrong direction, and also a major blunder right at the end where I ended up in the wrong gully and it took me a while to figure out where I was. But still happy with successfully finishing day 1.

Orienteering race 19:03 [5]

Prologue at Easter, heaps of fun, finished without any mispunches or major stuff-ups, very happy with it.
