Run 1:10:00 [3]

Nothing special, just round my usual haunts.

The best part of today was that I got to see Craig Mottram run. What a great day.

Easy run 1:10:00 [2]

Bummed around at home for most of the day but eventually got my act together and went for an easy run for a while. It was really cold and windy today. Feeling pretty psyched about tomorrow - it's the IAAF Golden League final in Berlin. And I've got a ticket. I hope some Aussies are competing, but the final entry lists aren't available until tomorrow morning. Otherwise I'll just cheer for the Germans along with everybody else.

Run 25:00 [4]

A severe case of TGIF today but otherwise felt good and did a shortish fast run, probably about 5 km race pace. But I haven't done a 5 k race in years so that's just a guess.

Run 35:00 [3]

Before and after the fast bit.

Orienteering 1:00 [0]

I came across two tourists with enormous cameras standing at the edge of the forest, and the guy jumped out in front of me waving his arms saying "excuse me! excuse me! is this the way to the station?"
"Um, no" I said "you're about an hour's walk away". They were REALLY lost but luckily they had a map so I soon sorted them out. They thought I was such a champion for finding their location on the map. And that's my orienteering training for the week.

Run 1:05:00 [3]

I followed a puppy dog for a while on this run. It was getting tired and I eventually overtook it (and its owner). Otherwise nothing exciting happened

Intervals intervals 32:00 [4]

was inspired to do intervals today. Knocked off work at a good time so it was still light. Managed a good 8 X 4 mins.

Easy run 52:00 [2]

20 mins warm up and warm down jogging plus 1.5 mins between each interval.

Run 1:05:00 [3]

Looks like I'll have to get used to running in the dark again, now that the weather's changing. Managed 1.5 laps of the park before it got too dark and finished up by doing a loop around the streets.
