Run 3:00:00 [3]

Cockies super long christmas run over the three peaks, namely our old friends maj, ains and blackie. Shan out did herself with the chrissy decorations, what a great idea. Full marks to Pat and devil for wearing theirs for the whole run, too. Good to get the hardest peak out the way first, then a quick hop over to ainslie making total time around an hour. the fun really began on the trek across town, especially as the group split at vernon circle towards ANU. I was struggling and starting to feel dizzy.... obviously not enough carbs yesterday. However enjoyed the party through the OA conference at Burgmann college and was much revived by the run up through the botanic gardens rainforest. Enjoyed the climb up black mtn the most, who knows why, but it was a good challenge, especially because I sat right behind Patrick which meant neither of us were giving in. Best bit of the run was the red cordial and snakes at the top (thanks jones gals). The downhill home was OK but I think we all hit struggleville up David street and especially on the dirt track back to the carpark. Top effort by everyone, Merry Christmas cockies, have a great one.

Run 1:30:00 [2]

Woke up feeling pretty stiff from my neck to my knees from yesterday's swim. Jogged round west basin, got really slow towards the end. The plan for the rest of the day is to eat lots of lamingtons as carbo loading for tomorrow's big run.

Run 45:00 [3]

short run in the grey drizzle round the suburbs this morning. all the walkers there are very civilized and say a cheerful "good morning" even when it clearly isn't.

Swimming 1:30:00 [5]

Friday night bilbys swim at civic - rapidly turning into ladies night, there was so many girls there, it was great fun. Most of us have all done the novice program together too except that I am definitely one of the slowest swimmers. Jess took the session and virtually body slammed us with a tough session including butterfly (I managed four strokes and nearly drowned), heaps of kickboard kicking, then 50 m sprints, and finally the "real" session of 200 m reps. I really liked the 50 m sprints, that's my best set so far. Completely stuffed by the end of the night though.

Cycling (bilbys bunch) 1:15:00 [3]

Had aimed to join Gary's slow group today but he told me to go in the faster group so I did. We rode out to the Holt golf course and back to Dicko, good fun today, the pace was really good and I stayed towards the front the whole way, with a couple of turns on the front. People got tired towards the end so there was a fair bit of waiting and slowing up. I stayed beside Michelle for the last bit and we had a good gripe about the lack of signals from the boys at the front, especially on the messy GDE road. Otherwise it was all good, although I lost my bike computer on this ride early on and didn't realise until Mel pointed it out to me. Went back to look for it but didn't find it, the bastard. Oh well. I don't run with a watch so probably I can ride without a clock too. If anybody finds it on Miller street you're welcome to it, I will even give you the rest of the bits off my bike, I'm that over it.

Cycling (roadie) 30:00 [3]

Rode in to work. Bike very quiet now that I finally got around to oiling it for the first time in six years, give or take a couple of services here and there. Back wheel running smoothly again too.

Bilbys (intervals) 1:00:00 [3]

VW set tonight, not my favourite, so only did 8 which was in between medium and long. Devil, Danny and Paul all ripped through 12, and Lachie was pretty quick for most of them too.

Run 45:00 [3]

First day of summer, no better excuse for an evening run round blackie. Cruised round, nothing special
