Orienteering 1:28:15 [3]

Another failure in Namadgi. Attempted Red 3 at Glendale in the vain hope I might actually finish a course on that map, but got horribly lost. Had to skip number 5 but ended up continuing with the rest. Fortunately devil was on fire on the Red 1 course, and roared past at my second last so I followed him to the last one and the finish. Felt really down after this run but I couldn't help it, I tried really really hard today to read the map properly yet still wasn't good enough to get round the course.

Run 13:49 [3]

Run 1:41:00 [3]

my brother is in training for the wagga mara and wanted to do a long run in Canberra. I had to stop after 100 mins but he kept going and I was very impressed, he is going well.

Run 1:21:00 [3]

Ran to work today. Set off in the dark round the western edge of the lake and over scrivener dam - couldn't see the Tower it was so misty, but not too cold. Decided to add some off-road, and went under the underpasses to Rani road, then around Black Mtn via the low track (not many hills). Top run for scenery - running through the mist on Black Mtn, then the sunrise once I made it round the other side of the hill. A good training run. Packed my camelbak full but it's much easier to run with than my backpack. Legs weary for the rest of the day, not surprising.

Ride home 37:00 [3]

Rode my bike home, similar time to the other day but felt slow going up the hills. Coped well in the dark but nearly ran off the bike path going round a dark corner.

Run 30:00 [3]

short run up to dunrossil drive in the morning and along the dog walkers track. I saw a water rat on the bike path, and he was walking along, dripping wet.

Bilbys 25:00 [5]

Did the medium set of 5 x 1 km, pushed it hard, obviously have too much energy in my legs at the moment. Surprised to get under 4:10 for one of them, must be the new fancy pants. Seem to have gotten over the crappy running of the past couple of weeks, back on track now, hooray.
