Run 1:34:00 [3]

cockies long run - really big group today which was great. Aim was to run hard up the hills - managed majura but not so good on ainslie and jase was back in the lead after a reversed order last week. Had to run really hard to keep up with the fast group but was able to chat with jo and heffer at various stages throughout. Was entertained by frogga's tough guy story, and max's rock pile. Heaps of fun as usual, bummed for not being able to go for coffee though!

Run 2:24:00 [3]

Long run with Susie from my place - up to the bottom of wattle to pick up KateZ, then up to the circumcision track of black mtn, around, then up to the top. Kate left us for home so Susie and I kept going round Aranda bushlands, then half a loop of little black and home through the suburbs. Both proud of our effort today - susie especially as she hasn't run such a long one for a while. Brekky at cafe oliver (aka my place) 10/10. Good fun - am loving these early morning runs on saturdays - weather is really fresh at that time. Also picking up many useful tips about "how to survive maternity leave without going insane" and today's fave - "how to toilet train your toddler". As the others were having a serious discussion about this I was thinking about more important things like, going to the hairdressers today and getting my hair cut short and blond :)

Swimming 40:00 [3]

Really needed a cross-training day and was tossing up between swimming and cycling - decided it was warm enough to swim, so headed up to dickson v. early this morning. Swam 1.5 km freestyle. The lane was empty by the end, which was really fun. Also the pool guys were mowing the lawn - love the smell of cut grass. Saw Gary and the usual squad, and then said hello to kim and paul from bilbys in the car park as they set off on a ride. Everybody's out and about this summer, it's great.

Run 55:00 [3]

Had planned on sleeping in today but got a text at 5:45am from Susie - back in town and keen to run, so Susie, Kate and me ran from my place. Glad the girls got me up and about this morning.

Orienteering 44:00 [3]

Summer series at Aranda bushlands. Aim was to run hard the whole way, even up the hills, which I did, so very happy overall. Good fun doing some street nav too. Caught psycho-bilbys coach Aaron on number 7 (he couldn't see it behind the fence but I sneakily read my control descriptions on the way up the road so knew it was on a fence) and then robw overtook me like a steam train at number 9. Only major problem was at the last one because I got too excited about having a good run and went too far left, although only stopped for a short time to read the map properly. Never mind. The fast guns scotty and devil caught me here so tried to keep them in sight to follow them home. Helpful advice from John Harding about crossing the fence to the carpark :)

Bilbys 20:00 [5]

Hard whistle set tonight - 2 x 4 mins (2 mins rec), 2 x 3 mins (90 sec), 2 x 2 mins (1 min), 2 x 1 min (30 sec). Good fun, although the grass seemed really thick on the track! Fel and Jose and Beth were there, and devil (who got a special extra-long marathon program). Felt good while I was running, getting some speed back at last, perhaps.

Run 1:00:00 [3]

run to/from bilbys because it was such a nice night, as well as the warmup and warmdown.
