Solid performance, was still feeling good, but got sprinted off for 2nd place by Neil right at the end. Not too disapointed with 3rd.

Had ok run apart from 3 controls which cost a lot of time in the fast terrain. 5th or 6th place

TAMOC day3 - Turkey Ridge
Had the pressure put on and cracked big time. First night orienteering in close to a year. Team still did alright and placed 4th.

Got a bit lost on the way back, light wasnt big enough and didnt have a compass!!!

TAMOC day2 - White lightning
Did well, everything was clicking and really had fun. High speed and flat meant there was some fast splits and a lot of people that fell apart. I held it together and got 4th place (+3mins). Behind, Carsten, James and Neil. 5th place was long way back (+7mins)

Had lazy day watching TV for most of day. Sprint was awesome, map and course. Had lots of snap decisions to make on really intensly detailed area. Presented some real Orienteering problems. Thomas was awesome, and incredabily fast on such a technical map...impressive!

Played some mini golf where Greg kicked both me and Riki's arses and then Riki cleaned me up in the brother vs brother battle. :(
Played some laser strike...which turns out I suck at as well and then had a good time playing ten pin bowling.

Monday Apr 9

Orienteering race (Nationals Relay) 33:29 [5]**** 5.76 km (5:49 / km) +200m 4:57 / km
spiked:16/18c slept:7.5 shoes: VJ Twisters
Nationals Relay at Waiuku Forest. 1st leg (D/S team)
Again was feeling strong on the hills, enjoyed the mass start sticking with the main pack right until emerging from the forest, then broke away into 3rd place on the open farmland.
