Orienteering Night 20:30 [4]

Natti Natti 1st leg

Some race! everything seem to be going on for such a short race.

Didnt push hard enough up to no1 so was at the back of the big group but thought "it will be fine as they slow down into the gaffling" but then I fell and my lamp camp off and by the time I sorted it I was by myself! Fuck!

2-5 thought these controls i was just behind the frount group (15-20sec). But not able to close the gap, close enough to see them but not close enough to use them to help the orienteering.
Going to no5 I saw they was going left but i wanted to use the building, the forest was quite think and i got stuck in some green only a really small error but enough for the group to get another few secs away.

next equipment muck up = spring in my compass half came out across the marsh so tried to fix it on the run

9- followed an unmapped path in the beging of the leg then didnt change my bearing from my new attackpoint, rough reloacting meant i was really close to the control but not knowing which direction to go so bailed out the the building. + 75s

basically an ok race. a bit scrappy with a few of 10-20s miss but usually would be quite relaxed about them (especally at night) but in a relay/mass start thouse misses show up and change the race and meant i had to run alone the whole way.

at first it was funny that everyone in our team ran bad, really bad! haha
But when Tumba won a felt frustrated and annoyed, OKS can win these races with our 1st team so annoyed that we dont organise ourself better
