Orienteering Night 1:13:50 [4]

Mila By Night Final @ Källbrink in a lot of snow

Felt pretty up for this before the race and physically better than I thought I would until coming up to the hour when I started to feel pretty tired.

no1 and 2 was ok a lot of people around so followed the group and kept control of my orienteering but to 3 it started to thin out and I tried to do my own thing a bit more. Everything was pretty good but took a bad route on the long leg and lost contact with the map mid leg so started pushing west knowing I would hit a big feature but lost some confidence at that point until I found the powerline.

Running the spectator run though I was a the front of group of 6 or 7 and started to feel tired but luckily leaving no12 Rasmus pushed past me and I thought "oh no, this is going to get tough" but when we got to the path he ran 90degrees the wrong direction. I was the only one to notice so ended up doing the last loop pretty much by myself and didnt need to push too hard! Cheers Rasmus!! haha

School Coaching
indoor track - pairs interval 20× 200m (recovery while your team mate runs, set recovery after 10) but had an orienteering twist when we had a sprint map and had to look at only when running and quickly deaw the best rout during recovery!! after the session we got a map showing all route choices and lengths ... i missed quite a lot of shortest choices
