Orienteering Night 1:05:49 [4]

VBN #1 lekeryd
Orienteering pretty well but not got the speed to be at the front. (Still feeling the cold and snotty + tired).
Focused on doing my own plan + direction first then see if there was anyone Incould use.
The terrain was either really fast or a bit scrappy but hard to tell from the map.
On the 2nd long leg south (no16), straight looked ok but could be tough (marsh and steep hills) and orienteering all the way but right had paths, field and easy orienteering to took that route. I was pretty happy with myself and choice until I got to the big ditch full of water and barb wire fence surrounding a deeply plowed field... had to change the plan and the forest was pretty scrappy and load of brashings on the floor. I saw the group I had been with off to the left as I got to the circle. So Im sure that my route would have been faster than straight if the field hadn't been plowed.

Any how … from there I was by myself. I looked at the controls and thought 19 and 20 are the most technical controls of the race and hopefully I can over take some people here. But it was ungaffeled and the group was all together and they got through ok.

Orienteering Night 45:00 [3]

Motala after mapping
Went to check some areas.
Set off not feeling all that. Then Penny was like "fuck this" and kept sitting down and letting me run off and I'd need to call her to catch up. So had to take her back to the car and set off again.
After a few controls I was knackered and really couldn't be arsed so knocked it on the head... at least I got a bit done
