Pushed hard along the beach and up the last hill to home. Happy with the time and knee is feeling better, even on the road. Bring on the sprint races.

Sunday May 6

Orienteering race 1:58:30 [4] ** 10.1 km (11:44 / km) +380m 9:52 / km
spiked:27/31c shoes: Silva SG Norway
TOS 4 - Royal George

Mass start was fun after lining up like cattle in the paddock.

Was in a pack until two where I seem to have a diffferent butterfly loop to everyone else and ran the rest of my course alone.

Stuffed 13 and ran off the map to have a look at the view and take a piss. Lost about 4 minutes on 21 when went too low, standing around with about 4 other lost soles who followed me into the control when I realised my error.

Felt very slow on the downhills, ITB still twinging a bit and uphills were a walk, other than that navigation suprised me..it's still there..gotta work on the fitness and stop looking at the map so often. Hammy's are a hurting now.
Walking (collecting controls) 40:00 [1] 3 km (13:20 / km) +60m 12:07 / km
