Orienteering 16:55 [3] 2.7 km (6:16 / km)

Made heaps of errors and walked up the big hill. Was all over too quickly. Felt like going for another run after.

Mp for the day. Apprently punched wrong control in same gully as number 3. Occasion marked by seeing the largest snake in the 42 years I've been on this planet. Had taken 2 steps from control 9 when I spotted the Diamond Python. Decided to give it a wide berth. Was a bit wary next leg..which was the long one going through a lot of long grass and stripey green. Ended up with a big parallel error following wrong gully system.

Orienteering 54:38 [3] 4.0 km (13:40 / km)
shoes: Salomon blue

Head wasn't in this as was very late into Coffs Harbour and managed to get a start anyway. Made heaps of errors trying to use same navigation technique as Pittwater (nav by depressions). At the X on the way to 16 noticed a guy who I thought was a homeless dude in the tenporary shelter. Turned out to be Greg who had already collected 16. The advice Greg gave me to 'stay on the tracks' totally threw me to 17. Came home in the dark.
