Orienteering (BoF Day 1) 27:50 [3] 2.2 km (12:39 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X talon blue

Totally overshot 1 saw others going to the massive erosion gully where the control was at the end of. Just didn’t click as the map said it was a blue line. I have NEVER seen these gully system carry standing water and I have spent A LOT of my life in the bush around Argonaut Rd. Went around the rest of the course with Anthony Stonor who could run faster then me but didn’t spike anything and latter part of the course with Hong Kong dude.

Bushwalking 40:00 [3] 4.0 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Salomon X-Scream

Jocks Lagoon-Morourad Beach- Windmill Lagoon loop. All on sand. Saw one wallaby. Some bright spark has cut the barb wire fence protecting Jocks Lagoon, an internationally significant RAMSAR wetland. I would write to the Tasmanian Gvt to express my disappointment but they think it is a good idea to log the Tarkine and have roller coasters at Cradle Mtn.

Bushwalking 25:00 [3] 3.0 km (8:20 / km)
shoes: Salomon X-Scream

Walk back out on Golden Fleece to check out the new car wrecks

Orienteering (Easter Day 3) 52:57 [3] 4.5 km (11:46 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X talon blue

No Errors until 9. Where totally failed to read the map looking at veg boundaries instead of contours. Lost contact with Scott Simpson here who caught me at 4. Slow to 10. Went past it too low. Then too low to 11. Not very happy with today’s result. Hoping for top 5 in M45A. Oh well still have 4 more years.

Orienteering (Easter 2018 Day 2) 1:09:09 [3] 6.7 km (10:19 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X talon blue

Started off very badly not seeing the easy route choice to the right around the dam wall. Ended up way to far south. Bit tentative going down to 4. Wrong route choice to 6 - went around the spur. Just slow to 9. Then the mental disintegration of the long leg to 10 had me walking around the massive hill until I was caught by Greg Morcom. Kept him within sight until 12. Got to focus on running hard when I am by myself. Going to push it tomorrow and see what happens.

Orienteering (Easter 2018) 1:15:03 [3] 6.5 km (11:33 / km)
weight:90kg shoes: Inov8 X talon blue

Felt surprisingly good running even when fatigued going up hills! As a result going too fast and made lots of small(er) errors. 1. Tried to go left and stay high around fully but ended up way beneath control. 2. Went too far right 3. Good 4. Good 5. Ok 6. Went way left to avoid the big gully and went around the cliff tops 7. Went left again - didn’t solve any time and overshot control looking for a massive cairn. 8. Ok 9. Stppped short and punched wrong control went all the way to 10. Before realising. Back to 9 and 10 11. Slow 12. Sped up and spiked. 13. Went low - track was probably better option. Slow across open erosion gully system to finish. Finished about 5th in my first hit put in M45A.
