running 55:00 [2]

I ran, mostly on trails, at Woodridge. I carried the map and read it a lot.

The parts of the map that flooded in 2019 are dense with weedy vegetation. But the trail is in good shape.

At one point I saw a couple of hikers who wanted to talk about orienteering. The Firefighters Adventure Race Team (FART) were out hiking and recognized the orienteering map. They didn't know about the permanent course at Woodridge. I told them how to find the map and warned them that the markers disappear occasionally.

I kept the pace gentle and stopped/walked for breaks. My legs were tired from yesterday. I also spent a bit of time watching birds - including pelicans - on the north edge of the map. Pelicans are weird looking.
