I watched the French coverage of the Swiss world cup races. Kind of fun to watch.

orienteering 1:00:00 [3] ***

Fritz, Mary and I went to Washburn for some sprint orienteering practice. We each drew a course. I ran Fritz's then Mary's then mine.

I got overheated. The last course was a chore. And when I got home I felt a bit out of it for the next few hours. It wasn't actually hot - maybe 74F and sunny. I just don't deal with warmth very well. As I got overheated my brain wasn't working as well.

Two of our courses were drawn on SSG left over maps. There was another course printed on each map. When I ran Mary's course I went to an overlapping control and then headed off on the old SSG course. It took a few controls before I realized what I'd done.

When I ran the last course - the one I'd designed - I was right next to the bell tower when it started chiming. It was loud. Startlingly loud. One that last course I also took a few breaks to walk a bit and also to take a couple of snapshots. I saw a sign that warned "Caution Swarming Bees." I didn't see any bees.
